What's this? An Update? Why yes, yes it is. So in between working two jobs and school and transferring and a whole lot of other stuff, I have been reading

's book "The Order of Odd Fish", and it is AWESOME!!!!! (Go out and get it now, Azro commands it.) This is some fan art of one of the main characters Lily Larouche. I know the perspective and everything else is off buuuutttt, I didn't have a model to work with (and although it's a lame excuse charcoal= Not my best medium). I don't know why I drew her with a hat, maybe because every time I think of crazy older women I see a a floppy sun hat?
I have a couple other fan art pieces for the book but I figured I'd update as I can.

Karen! This is gorgeous! Oh WELL DONE. I love it when artists take an unexpected perspective on the subject -- it's cool how you focused not on Lily Larouche's wackiness and glamor, but on her secret sadness. Also looks a bit like Dame Judi Dench ([link]), whom I think would be perfect to play Aunt Lily if there was ever an Odd-Fish movie (well, either her or Helen Mirren).

And you say there's more on the way? I can't wait. Thanks! I'm going to put this up on the blog this week. (How do you want me to credit you -- as "Azro" or with your real name?)
